DESCRIPTION
Tours for bird watching can be carried out in three (3) different environments, coastal scrub, wetlands and tropical forest.
You could walked through the trails or on board a boat with outboard motor to visit the northern lagoons within the island,
Below are listed the different locations and immediately after the activities that can be carried out:
1. Punta Norte. The Natural Protected Area, of Flora and Fauna, Northern Zone of Cozumel Island.
2. Punta Ixpalbarco. The Natural Protected Area of Flora and Fauna, East of the island of Cozumel. and the tropical forest at the NE center by San Gervasio.
3. Villa Maya, Private Nature Reserve located in the center of the island in the vicinity of the archaeological site of San Gervasio.
4. El Cedral, South center side of the island, The Natural Protected Area of Flora and Fauna, East of the island of Cozumel. wet lands and coasta scrub
1. PUNTA NORTE
In this location there is (1) options available to bird watching:
a. On board a small boat in 23- 25 feet long with outboard, coastal lagoons north of the island, estuarine waters that are home to a wide variety of waterfowl visit. The community is mangrove. (Call for information, availability, scheduale and extra charges).

2. PUNTA IXPALBARCO
In this location there is one (1) options for bird watching:
a. Walked through the path of access to Punta Ixpalbarco, mangroves, and coastal dune scrub, freshwater lagoons, environment with a great biodiversity.

It is an excellent opportunity for sighting water birds and coastal scrub. The hike is about 1 - 2 km, The main communities are wetlands, beaches and coastal scrub with chit palm species, siricote, sea grape, creeping plants as riñonina, suriana and tournefortia. Upon completion, the experience is summarize and discussed sightings made.
3. VILLA MAYA
a. This location is experienced only through the walk on the trails within the nature reserve. The reserve is located towards the center of the island at a point where you can visit different tips of vegetation and communities. The natural relief turns along the way, being able to see a difference in shaping the relief and soil type allowing recognize Geology of the island, these differences has allowed different plant communities, tropical forest, lowland forest, and wetlands. The walk is done through trails that penetrate the dense vegetation of the forest. Upon completion, the experience is summarize and discussed the sightings made.

MEETING POINT
MEGA Grosery store in town. (The meeting point is confirmed when confirming the excursion)
For hotel guests who are staying in Cozumel or for people who come from Playa del Carmen or cruise passengers the meeting point is the base of the electric escalator at MEGA grosery store in down town, at Av. Rafael Melgar (ocean front aveniune and 11 Av.)

ii. The maximum weight of the participant cannot exceed 110 kg or 240 pounds.; minimum age of 6 years. This expedition is not suitable for people with physical disabilities or diseases, cardio - pulmonary.
